Recording Artist Production Agreement - Long Form. [16 pages, MS Word]
This agreement is meant to be used by a producer, production company or independent record label to sign a recording artist and create master recordings, yet allow the company to either release the recordings itself, or license/sell the recordings to another company such as a major label. As the future is uncertain, it allows the company a little flexibility in future endeavors.
This “long form” agreement is more comprehensive than our short form agreement, and is preferred to be used when there is more time to negotiate the deal, or as a later and more comprehensive clarification of the complete deal, including major and minor points to the deal.
