Sublet Permission Agreement. [2 pages, MS Word]
Use this agreement as a landlord to give permission for a tenant to sublet, or as a tenant to gain permission to sublet.
This agreement will modify the existing lease, requires a rental application from the proposed subletting tenant, and keeps the original tenant bound to the lease, despite the sublet. It is good practice to also provide the sublet a copy of the original lease and any rules and regulations for the property, such as CC&Rs, rather than relying on the original tenant to do so.
